TIP OF THE WEEK: Stressed out? Exercise can help you manage it and help reduce its harmful effects.
We all know that “STRESS” is a big part of our lives. Your ability to tolerate stress depends on many factors, including the quality of your relationships, your general outlook on life, your emotional intelligence, and genetics.
According to the latest medical research, long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems. Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, contribute to infertility, and speed up the aging process.
So what can you do to help protect yourself against stress? HOW ABOUT EXERCISE!!!
Besides the recognized benefits of burning fat, improving the cardiovascular system, giving more oxygen to the body, reducing the chance of disease and lowering blood pressure, exercise has the ability to relax the body and the mind. It is also true to say that it would do wonders for your self esteem and self confidence.
Are you feeling motivated yet?
Well, how about these obvious benefits. Because of your increased energy levels you are more likely to feel outgoing and sociable, not to mention the added benefit of a better physique. With such a positive self image just think of the confidence that will give you! But remember: ALWAYS CONSULT WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST BEFORE STARTING ANY EXERCISE PROGRAM.
That’s all for now, and remember, ” Take care of your body today and it will take care of you tomorrow!”
