#1 TIP OF THE WEEK: “Be smart…consult with a doctor before starting an exercise program.”
The holidays are long gone and there is something invigorating about a new year. It’s a chance to finally do something for yourself.
Resolutions have been made and now it’s time to ”act” upon them or at least one of them!
** Exercise is ranked at the top three as one of the most popular resolutions a person makes at the start of every year. Unfortunately, it is also one of the first ones to be discarded after the first two weeks. **
But, for those who ready to commit, do yourself a favor and consult with your doctor before starting an exercise program. Believe me, folks, I cannot stress this point enough. Physical activity, at any age, but especially for those over 40, imposes a stress on your body and without clearance form your doctor could do you more harm than good. Therefore, call your doctor, schedule a complete physical and you’ll be on your way to a new you.
That’s all for now – and remember, “ Take care of your body today and it will take care of you tomorrow!”
